VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO DOC 2013 - WINE ADVOCATE 87 POINTS
Simple and clean from start to finish, the
2013 Valpolicella Classico offers all the
easy appeal that this red wine is
celebrated for. Pair this wine with pasta
shells stuffed with ricotta and spinach. The
wine's fresh acidity and bright fruit flavors
will match the creaminess of the cheese
and the sweetness of the tomato sauce.
Montecariano is an under-the-radar estate
that delivers great wines from the
Valpolicella area. I was happy to learn
more about the Ripasso and the base
Valpolicella. Both wines offer considerably
more complexity and sophistication than
their peers.
